“Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.” ~Savior’s words in John 4:35
“For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul.” ~Doctrine and Covenants 4:4
So a month or so ago, we were at the home of some good friends, working with them and the young missionaries on several projects, painting, gardening, weeding…. We loved being out in the fresh air, enjoying the beautiful fall day, laughing and sharing as we worked together. Behind their property is a huge wheat field. We noticed that the color of the wheat had changed since we were there before. It really had gone white. Not being farmers, we hadn’t noticed that before! So, of course we had to climb the fence and take pictures!
(My only wish was that I was dressed a little better than my paint clothes! I guess that’s what harvesters do though–wear their grubbies to do the work and forget about pride!)
Cheerio from the “field”!
