What a wonderful occasion yesterday, August 22, 2015 when Dennis B. was baptized at the Gloucester chapel, with over 40 members from our small ward attending and welcoming him! He had the missionary lessons about five years ago from the sisters who were serving in our area. He remembers it as a really positive experience that affected his life. Maybe he was thinking of that several weeks ago, as he passed by our chapel one Friday afternoon. Elder Pailate was standing by the door and calling to the passers-by to come join us at our Family History Clinic. Dennis stopped and talked to the elders and then came in and Gene worked with him for over an hour at the laptop getting set up on a FamilySearch account and entering information. The elders began to teach him, involving us and the members of the ward in the lessons.
Dennis was so eager to be taught by the elders, so receptive, humble, willing to make changes and accept the invitation to be baptized! What a wonderful day we all had at the baptism!
Today at our Sacrament Meeting in Stroud Ward, Dennis was confirmed a member of the Church by Elder Libutti and the other brethren. ‘So rewarding to see the gospel of Jesus Christ make such a difference in the life of such a good, humble man! Wonderful blessings!
