I thought it would be fun to share some of the service opportunities we have captured on camera. It’s always so fun to work together! The first few photos are from yesterday, working at our dear friend Beverly’s home, trimming bushes, weeding, mowing and edging. Elder Tupou and Elder Pailate dug out some stubborn tree stumps with their manpower and determination!
Here’s some photos from a month ago when we weeded with Elder Jones and Elder Pailate.
We had fun helping our dear friends Maureen and John Cole with a floor treatment as they are preparing to sell their house and move to Scotland. They have fed us so many wonderful meals since we’ve come, that it was such a joy to help them with their project! We loved the great conversations as we were covered in goop! Here are some photos of the finished room.
A few weeks ago we were invited to the Rednock School (11 to 18 year olds) to help with a Health Social Science class unit on communication. The students had a group discussion with us visitors and then gave us tours of their campus. ‘Wish I had taken pictures of the students. They were really pleasant and enjoyable. (They said they liked our American accents and want to go to America.) We really enjoyed that experience.
Earlier in the spring we had a workday at our friends the Langmeads. Phil had an forklift accident at work, so he wasn’t able to do some of the garden jobs. It felt so good to help them and be out in the fresh air and work hard.
