Family Visit, Days 3 & 4

We shared a lovely Sabbath day with our visiting family! What a joy to have two groups of people we love to meet each other! It was our ward conference, so there was even an extra portion of the spirit there. We also had our regular monthly “Munch and Mingle” after the Sacrament Meeting, which gave more opportunities to visit. Then we went exploring to some villages nearby which were Bob’s ancestor places, Stonehouse, Woodchester and Leckhampton, close to where they stayed in Cheltenham. (So my camera didn’t work for my photos on Sunday, so these first ones are our church and in Stonehouse and Woodchester are from Dayna’ s camera)

Stonehouse, where Bob’s ancestor was born in 1697, and his ancestor Maragaret Oliver was buried in 1786. We didn’t find the place just yet.

The Day 4, our last together, we met at their hotel in Cheltenham and then drove on to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. We had so much fun on the bus tour and walking around, shopping and soaking up dear family before parting, Gene and I to Stroud and the family on to Manchester, Scotland and back to London at the end of the week.
