Missionary Birthday

A perfectly wonderful birthday, made sweet by the kind cards and packages and birthday wishes from family and friends and with the kindness of my missionary companion and sweetheart! We had a great lesson in the morning and then in the afternoon we drove on a sunny, cloudless, gorgeous drive over to a small, very old village called Filkins, near Lechlade. One of only three harp stores of its kind in all of Great Britain, it was so fun to see the harps and play again. Gene was such a sweetheart to rent a small harp for me to use while we’re here! While I played the harp in the storeroom, I sent him out to take pictures of the beautiful grounds! Then we finished the day with a lovely dinner in Swindon. Royal treatment by a sweet husband!

  1. Hope you were able to play “Happy Birthday to Me” on your harp. I could just picture you in the photo siting in the chair and playing. One of my favorite instruments–I used to rent a celtic harp. Always wanted to have a small harp from Paraguay. Glad you had such a special day–since you ARE SO SPECIAL!!! –Love and prayers, Juana
