What a treat to have our son-in-law Drew Burton come and visit! He was on a business trip to Dubai for a few days and then a few days in Ipswich, England on the east coast. He was so sweet to squeeze in a quick trip to visit us here in Stroud. He drove four hours to arrive here last night about 7:30 pm and then left 12 hours later at 7:30 this morning–very short, but very sweet for us! We had so much fun eating dinner together, talking and sharing. He and Gene drove into Stroud to the train station to pick up the elders at 10pm (his big sightseeing adventure!) and then we talked some more. Drew brought us some “ungettables in England” that Kristi and Joanna shopped for earlier-tablecloth, placemats, Cream of Wheat, Maypoline, pumpkin pie spice, straight edge spatula…. So sweet! This morning we got up early for a breakfast together and then he left for the two hour drive to the London airport to fly home to Bountiful, Utah to his sweetheart, our daughter Kristi.
We hope this is the first of many visits–hopefully a little longer! Doesn’t that bed look comfy? And don’t I look like a charming hostess? (Yikes!) Come and join us! We’d love to have you visit! Cheerio!
