Painswick Village

So, we tried to visit a less-active member in Painswick, a village to the north in our ward boundaries, but when we asked if we could come up, the man on the intercom said, “No!” and with a click, we got the message. 🙂 So we decided to take some time to look at this lovely village that we have driven through at least 20 times on the way to Cheltenham, but didn’t have time to stop. It was unusually sunny and bright that afternoon, so it was perfect timing!

Elder Hall is our district leader on exchanges with Elder Dunn, after our zone meeting in Cheltenham. We had to sing the tune here, which is the tune that alot of bells chime to. And yes, he is a little goofy, and a good leader!

One of Painswick’s claims to fame are the 99 clipped yew trees surrounding the church since 1792. The legend goes that every time they tried to plant the 100th it would die.

Since we were freezing our gizzards, we went inside and saw the following sights, until my camera battery wore out! Digital Camera Digital Camera Digital Camera

‘Love this message, which is what our “charge” is!   Cheerio!
