It would be awesome to share with you photos of our amazing district meeting this week held in Yate, an hour away, with our district leader, Elder Hall leading us in training and discussions about missionary work and showing President Uchtdorf’s amazing April 2014 talk on gratitude–no matter what, how we can’t have the beauty of the rainbow without the rain (and there’s alot of rain here in England!!!!), that gratitude is the catalyst to all Christlike attributes. Elder Hall challenged us to go for a whole week with at least a once a day prayer of just gratitude. It was an inspiring, spirit-filled meeting–not so easy to photograph!
Much easier to photograph are the other light-hearted parts of the meeting–eating desserts at the end of the meal at The Hungry Horse and taking photos afterwards in the church foyer as transfers are this next week. The elders were good at running from the cameras to the photo! We hoped to add our grand finale–our Maori chant, taught by Elder Adam, who has been a university rugby player from Samoa, but it doesn’t upload on this plan, so we’ll try to add it to our weekly “Cotswold Correspondence” email. Cheerio!
